Today:

Gosh, much of a week.  I was out and about for reasons and I just realized how great/empty it can be.  It’s a weird feeling of high highs and low lows.  Sometimes you’re so blessed meeting w/ so many people but at the same time you’re so empty knowing you can’t really offer them anything and that you know you’ll probably never see them again.

Relationships are hard, I realized, friends or anything.  It’s a work in progress.  It takes investments, time and effort and I’m feeling a bit drowned knowing I dont know if my time invested in all these new people will go to waste.  I know I have to contribute a lot to get to know them and share a real connection  but how can I balance work and learning if I’m constantly socializing?  Will I lose more people in the end concentrating on work?   Will I fail trying to be everyone’s friend?

I also realized in a very sad way, money is everything in the industry and maybe that’s what I’m really afraid of.  Will I ever have enough?  Will I ever have to act like I am something but knowingly I will always be no one?  If so how empty and how sad.   I think that’s one of my fears.

Then there’s always letting people down.   I feel I let church people down by going out so much.  I just shared a testimony and came back from a retreat and my heart really wants to change and do more for his ministry but I feel scared the life I choose won’t let me.

I’m scared. Lord please let me defeat all my fears and do the best and conquer every job coming my way.  But always keep me dwelling in Your great Spirit.  Let me not ever slack off on my church family and let the industry be second.  Give me complete knowledge and understanding and keep me in wisdom.

The Time Magazine did an article on the CalTech Beavers basketball team.

I can’t help but smile and laugh at how adorable the team is even when they are reported “to lose 273 straight league games since 1985″.

The Time Magazine questions as to why they even continue their athletic endeavors and baffles them as to why they even exist.

I just think it’s so adorable how they answer their questions with probabilities and mathematical equations or when asked based upon their abilities they are stumped.

“I have often asked myself that question,” says Yang Hai, a 6-ft., 140-lb. (1.83 m, 63.5 kg) bench player. “I’m not that good. The team’s not that good. What am I doing here?”
